National Tartan Day Gala Dinner and Silent Auction
Saturday, May 7th, 2005
Phoenix Marriot Hotel Ballroom in Mesa, Arizona
Celebrate Tartan Day with Arizona's Best Scots!
Entertainment by the world famous
Mesa Caledonian Pipe Band
In 1998, the Senate of the United States unanimously passed a resolution
designating April 6, as National Tartan Day to honor the contributions
that persons of Scottish descent have made throughout the history of the
United States. To mark the first celebration of this occasion, the Mesa
Caledonian Pipe Band held a gala dinner and silent auction in April of
1999. Guests at this gala included local civic leaders and luminaries,
medal of honor recipients and international Scottish folk artist Donnie
McDonald. It has since become an annual event.
We invite you to come join us on May 7th for a night of Scottish
comeraderie and entertainment! The night will start with a formal dinner
(Scottish attire or black tie encouraged) and an impressive silent auction!
Then the lights will go down and our entertainers will take the stage
for one of the best Celtic concerts in the region!
Silent Auction & No Host Cocktail Hour - 6PM
Dinner - 7PM
Price Per Person: $45
